The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Seeking a skilled Youth Worker for our OTIS youth team in Waikanae. Specialising in complex needs & mental health support, caring for 1-2 young individuals in a nurturing home.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Working closely with clinical service staff in designing personalised support plans
  • You will work with people’s strengths, hold hope and encourage people to recognise their ability to overcome adversity.
  • You will work with people planning a suite of activities and programmes individually designed to help them meet goals
  • Casual positions are available to fill in for permanent Support Workers during leave, with non-regular hours, you'll have the opportunity to work across our full range of services throughout the week, including all Wellington locations.


About You | Mōu
You will have:

  • A National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level4) or National Certificate in Youth Work. Or will be willing to work towards.
  • A full driver’s licence.
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Māori, including Te Reo Māori and Tikanga, or be open to learning about it.
