Job Description
We are looking for an experienced finance administrator to hit the ground running in this fast paced and supportive team. Joining this government organisation, this is a temporary assignment assisting with finance team.
- Starting ASAP – 6 months
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- $28 – $34 per hour + 8% holiday pay
The role:
You will ensure payments and receivables are processed in the correct system in a timely and accurate manner, whilst managing transaction exceptions appropriately.
- Carry out quality control checks to mitigate fraud risk and ensure applicable financial regulations have been met.
- Liaise with, advise and train customers on financial processes to resolve exceptions and reinforce organisations policies.
- Provide excellent Customer Service by responding to account queries quickly.
- Assist with financial software enhancements and implementation of financial regulation changes.
- Cross-cover other Accounting Services Team functions as required.
About you:
To succeed in this position, you’ll have previous finance and administration experience. You will be an efficient and effective communicator who can work accurately at a fast pace. Along with managing a high workload, you will be able to:
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Applications, especially Excel
- Highly organised and superb attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with wide range of people
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work autonomously and make decisions in-line with policies
- High degree of initiative and ability to research, investigate, analyse and problem solve
- Committed to excellent customer service with constant consideration of the organisation’s reputation
