About the Role
As our Housekeeping Supervisor in Franz Josef / Waiau, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a sparkling clean and comfortable stay. You'll lead and motivate a small team, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene while upholding the unique Haka House spirit. This is a hands-on role where you'll be directly involved in housekeeping tasks while also overseeing the team's performance.
The Role Will Involve
- Leading and supervising a small housekeeping team π§Ή
- Ensuring all guest rooms and common areas are meticulously cleaned and maintained to the highest standards π§½
- Managing cleaning supplies and equipment effectively π§΄
- Training and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment π€
- Maintaining detailed records and reporting on housekeeping activities π
- Assisting with the cleaning of rooms and common areas as needed πͺ
- Contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and colleagues π
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures π¦Ί

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or a similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- A passion for creating a clean and welcoming environment.
- Fluency in English.
