About the role

This is a 12-month fixed term position to cover a member of our team commencing parental leave in April. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At Comvita, we embrace flexible working, and this role will allow you to work from home and our offices in Paengaroa. Typically, our team members come to site twice a week for team collaboration and connection so for this reason would prefer applicants come from with a 45 minute commute to our offices in Paengaroa, BOP.

This role will partner with key stakeholders in the business, providing commercial and analytical support through data analysis, sales administration, modelling and reporting. This role also involves providing support to our Financial Control team.

As a Commercial Accountant, you will:

Partner with Business Leaders, providing timely and accurate financial information.
Provide commercial finance and analytical support, including data analysis, sales administration, modelling, and reporting.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Conduct profitability analysis, trade funds management, and promotional spend evaluations to optimize financial performance.
Manage sales administration tasks, including customer pricing, deal sign-offs, claims, accounts receivable deductions and revenue management.
Support the finance team, preparing financial statements, market performance reports, and commercial insights.âÂ¯ Including financial control support such as balance sheet reconciliations.âÂ¯

What we would like from you

Accounting Degree or equivalent, CA qualification preferred.
Previous experience in a commercial finance/accounting role, preferably within FMCG.
Strong financial analysis, data modelling, ERP systems, and advanced Excel proficiency.
A proactive, detail-oriented team player with excellent communication and business partnering skills.
