About the Role:

Be part of something special! We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new centre, BestStart Park Green, in February 2025. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Cook to join our team and play a vital role in creating a warm, nurturing environment for our children.

As our Centre Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for the children each day. Your menu will reflect a variety of cultural influences and include morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.

This role requires efficiency, excellent time management, and a strong knowledge of foods that support good nutrition and healthy eating. If you’re passionate about creating wholesome meals that children will love, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a permanent part time position working 25 hours Monday-Friday

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:

Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
A passion for cooking and baking
An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week
The ability to remain within the budgets of ordering food
A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children
