He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have two 12month fixed-term positions available and are looking for highly skilled and motivated Project Managers to join our Capital Projects team. In this role, you will act as a client-side project manager, overseeing the delivery of physical works projects related to our venues. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality – all in a live environment as the show must go on.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage the optioneering, planning, execution, and delivery of physical works projects from inception through to completion
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with organisational goals
- Own the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and financial parameters
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations and standards
- Produce and deliver project reports to senior management

You will likely have experience in similar roles from within large and complex and potentially political organisations. We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements provided below:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- PMP or similar certification is desirable
