Executive Assistant – A Key Role in MoranLaw’s Growth
MoranLaw is looking for a highly capable and forward-thinking Executive Assistant to support our founder and help drive the firm’s success. This is more than just an admin role—you’ll be at the heart of business operations, working across business planning, marketing, AI tools, and firm-wide systems.

MoranLaw is a fast-growing law firm specialising in commercial, private client and trade mark law, working with clients in New Zealand, Australia, and internationally. In under a year, we’ve grown to 14 people, and we’re just getting started.

The Role
This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role—we need someone who can work proactively and strategically across different parts of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
🔹 Executive Support & Organisation
- Managing the founder’s diary, emails, and workflow, ensuring priorities are met.
- Preparing internal reports and presentations.
- Proof reading and formatting.
- Handling confidential matters with professionalism.
🔹 Marketing & Business Support
- Assisting in the execution of our business and marketing plans.
- Keeping tabs on marketing metrics and ensuring marketing initiatives stay on track.
🔹 Tech & Systems Support
- Keeping up with our internal and new legal tech and automation to help streamline operations.
🔹 Tracking key KPIs and keeping internal systems organised.
- Helping refine and maintain firm policies and compliance processes.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
✅ Experience as an Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
✅ A self-starter mindset – someone who anticipates needs, solves problems, and takes initiative.
✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills – you’ll be drafting key documents.
✅ Marketing awareness – comfortable tracking social media, content, and engagement.
✅ Tech and AI curiosity – you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be excited to explore new tools.
✅ Excellent organisation and attention to detail – you keep things running like clockwork.
✅ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
