Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Product Specialist, you’ll provide expertise and specialist knowledge in the delivery and execution of product initiatives across IAG NZ channels. This is to assist the facilitation of product governance and product lifecycle management initiatives and ensure adherence to the Group Product Policy.

In your role you’ll provide support, analysis, reporting, and solutions to aid in the development, enhancement, and documentation of key product processes and resources throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, you’ll offer subject matter expertise in delivering product activities in line with Product Design Principles and implement process improvements.

Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, keeping them informed about relevant initiatives and progress is key to your role too as well as ensuring a thorough understanding of and compliance with Group Product Policy and IAG risk policies, completing necessary work sign-offs and maintaining accurate records.

This a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity, and we welcome applicants from Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

To be successful in this role, you should ideally possess the following skills and experiences:

• Technical understanding of insurance products with at least 3 years of experience in product, underwriting, or claims within general insurance or financial services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical nature, with the ability to see the big picture.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, understanding business requirements, and developing new processes.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, work as part of a team, and take ownership of product governance initiatives.
• Experience in process mapping and creating product content.
