Opportunities are available to join the Shires Rest Cafe team at Hobbiton which operate on a 4 on 2 off working roster, weekends inclusive. You will be one of the many faces our visitors encounter while on their journey of Hobbiton, the willingness to go the extra mile is essential to ensure they have a memorable and authentic experience.

This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of all FOH areas of The Shires Rest Cafe.

This includes:

• Support and assist the FOH Manager and Supervisor in leading the FOH team to ensure an exceptional visitor experience whilst modelling high standards of presentation, performance and professional behaviour.
• Uphold morale by maintaining positive working relationships with all team members and departments within Hobbiton.
• Within outlined authority, deal with any day to day challenges in a professional manner ensuring clear communication, report and update any incidents to the FOH Supervisor/Manager.
• Communicate closely and respectfully with the kitchen team to ensure a seamless hospitality service and overall experience.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks upholding standards as set out by the department Supervisor/Manager whilst complying with company policy.

The skills you will need are:

• LCQ, Duty Manager (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (essential)
• Barista skills (essential)
• Enthusiasm and a friendly smile (critical)
• Ability to work hard and to think on your feet (again, critical)
• Ability to lead a team; communicate, solve problems, delegate tasks and motivate your team members (essential)
• Reliable transport (as we are slightly off the beaten track)

This position is for Full Time Employment and includes day, evening and weekend shifts in accordance with a roster, with a minimum of 35 hours offered to you per week.
