Te Wero – The Challenge

This position offers a flexible work schedule of 32 hours per week. You have the option to distribute your workload across four or five days, as agreed upon with the Team Leader - Property Information. This arrangement allows for a balance between professional responsibilities and personal commitments, ensuring both efficiency and flexibility in your work routine.

The role of Property Information Officer is to ensure that the Far North District Councils’ property information and Land Information Memorandum (LIM) functions are managed in compliance with relevant legislation, the FNDC Information Management Strategy, Policy, and Business Rules must be adhered to. This involves:

  • Maintaining the currency, accuracy, relevance, and completeness of FNDC electronic records within the Property Administration System and the Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS).
  • Promoting the value and importance of these records to staff, ensuring they understand and utilise the systems effectively.


By doing so, we ensure that all property-related information is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible, supporting efficient and transparent operations within the council.

We’re seeking a candidate with:

  • 3-5 years in Property Information roles.
  • Expertise in property administration, GIS, and document management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of local government legislation (e.g., LGOIMA, RMA, Building Act).
  • Familiarity with local authority functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and customer-focused approach.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Process improvement mindset.
