Odyssey House has been providing residential treatment for drug and alcohol addiction for over 35 years in Canterbury.

Together with Purapura Whetu we are proud of the women's residential programme running at a rural location, providing support for wahine from the criminal justice system.

In this role you will be tending to day to day activities such as preparing food, driving wahine to appointments, doing admin behind the scenes to keep the whare moving efficiently, participating in recreation activities, co-ordinating group experiences, role modelling positive behaviours and responding to situations as they arise.

There is an evidence-based model that we operate to. This keeps everyone safe and our wahine on a journey to wellbeing, so you will need to work within a structure and understand boundaries.

You will need:

• Good organisational skills
• To be a team player working with clinicians and other support workers
• Level 4 qualification in a health and wellbeing fields, or be willing to work towards this (Odyssey actively encourages and supports training)

You will form part of a roster Monday and Tuesday, as well as another week day, all of which alternate weekly between morning and afternoon starting times.
