Intermediate Civil Engineer – Work on Impactful Projects Christchurch, New Zealand

The Company:

An established New Zealand-owned engineering consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join their Christchurch team. With a strong reputation built over 40+ years, this multi-disciplinary firm delivers innovative solutions across the energy, land, and water sectors. Their projects range from wind farms and hydro developments to large-scale land development and commercial infrastructure. Ideally you'll have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development, three waters, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong design skills in 12d and/or Civil 3D.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a track record of delivering creative, practical solutions.
  • The ability to work independently, take responsibility for your work, and know when to seek support.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


Desirables

  • Experience working with New Zealand engineering standards.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • A proactive approach to client relationships.
