The Senior Finance Business Partner operates as part of a dedicated team that provides reporting, support, and analysis to drive successful outcomes, reduce risks, ensure adherence to policy, and enable benefit realisation.

Supporting the Head of Commercial Finance and Office Director the incumbent will manage business performance across New Zealand & Canada.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing business performance, project reporting, and analytics across New Zealand & Canada.
  • Ensuring deadlines for month-end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting are met.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of percentage completion and projected forecasts across the branches.
  • Assisting project leaders with understanding cost-to-complete concepts, work in progress, fees in advance, fee splits, billing schedules, and forecasting.
  • Acting as a conduit between the Invoicing Officer/Project Confirmation team and project leaders to ensure accurate representation of project finances in the system.
  • Reviewing project financials regularly to ensure proper management.
  • Owning the annual budget cycle and track monthly usage.
  • Ensuring all financial aspects of the profit and loss statement, prepayments, and accruals for branches, entities, or disciplines in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting are met.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified CA/CPA
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, economics or a related field
  • Have four years of management accounting/business partnering experience in a medium to larger size organisations.
  • Be highly experienced in Excel modelling, advanced formulas and spreadsheet data manipulation
  • Be a self starter with proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Have an understanding of project management
