Mō te Tūranga – About the role
As the Banking Specialist you will be responsible for identifying existing and new Westpac customer’s banking needs, including personal and home lending requirements. You will listen and provide advice and solutions to the customer to meet these needs, ensuring all information is collected in accordance with regulations and policies. You will also be responsible for proactively identifying new opportunities to provide further advice and solutions regarding their financial aspirations to retain our valuable customers.
- Contribute to the success of the business and our customers through solution focused interactions.
- Provide best customer advice and quality outcomes for existing and new customers through Lending, Insurance, and transactional products.
- Listen and provide sound financial advice to our customers to ensure our products are suitable to help them reach their financial aspirations.
- Create a customer experience that is world class by being empathetic, trusted, and knowledgeable.
- Bring a growth mindset to develop a career path in the finance industry.
- Effectively prioritise your time while working in a fast-paced agile environment.

- Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer focused role.
- Tertiary education preferred.
- Confident in learning new digital platforms and tech savvy
- Strong communication and rapport building skills.
- A passion for helping people through their financial goals.
- A good attitude, growth mindset and willingness to learn.
- Hours of operation: Your ordinary hours of work are 7.5 hours per day between the hours of 8:00am to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm, a total of 37.5 hours per week.
