About the Role

Metlifecare Powley Village is looking for Diversional Therapist to support the wellness of their care home residents. The role reports to the Nurse Manager.

Hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30 pm - 40 hours per week.

You will be:

Planning and implementing an innovative activities program
Liaising with families and staff to participate in leisure activities
Assisting our residents to participate in organized activities
Establishing and maintain a therapeutic environment
Ensuring the health and safety of our residents

About you

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box. You will have a genuine love for the elderly and want to make a difference. Ideally you will have experience as an Activities Coordinator or a Diversional Therapist, however this role would suit an experienced Caregiver looking to broaden their skill set with a passion for making every day better for our residents.

Candidates must have the following:

Current Full Drivers License
Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential
Experience with working with groups of older people
Diversional Therapist qualification preferred
