Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Volunteer IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in IT systems, network management, and cybersecurity to support our organization's technical needs. Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT support and systems administration to ensure smooth daily operations.
Manage and maintain secure network infrastructure, including protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Oversee and troubleshoot cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented across all IT systems and devices.
Monitor and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Support database management systems (SQL, Oracle) as needed.
Collaborate with team members to address technical issues and develop IT solutions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
5-7 years of professional experience in IT support and systems administration.
Certifications (preferred):
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience in database management and cybersecurity practices/tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
