Job Description
We have partnered with Rapid Facility Services (RFS) who is looking for a bold and driven General Manager of Operations to lead their team, optimise processes, and drive growth as they continue to deliver top-tier facility maintenance solutions across New Zealand.

The Role:
As the General Manager of Operations, you’ll oversee all aspects of the operational division, managing a team of up to 10 direct reports and 45 indirect team members. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Finance Director, you’ll have the autonomy to drive operational excellence while contributing to strategic planning and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and high performance across all departments.
- Build and implement systems and processes that streamline operations and support scalability.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the team.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring satisfaction and continuity.
- Provide input into strategic and financial planning, including budget preparation and growth initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring:
- Extensive experience in facilities management within FMCG, manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance standards.
- Excellent business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- A hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
