We are looking for a Directs Category Manager in our team in Christchurch who will report directly to the Merchandise Manager. This role will play a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and enhancing partnerships with Direct Supply Partners within the FreshChoice franchise network. Collaborating closely with Category Managers and other internal stakeholders, the Directs Category Manager ensures supplier agreements and operations align with Woolworths Group standards and the Grocery Supply Code.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
This role is accountable for onboarding new Direct Supply Partners, negotiating and harmonising trading agreements, and ensuring franchise compliance requirements are met. Additionally, the Directs Category Manager drives growth within the SME supply network and optimises the charge-through process to support seamless operations. By championing supplier relationships and ensuring operational excellence, this role fosters long-term partnerships and positions FreshChoice as a preferred business partner.
The Directs Category Manager contributes to the strategic growth of FreshChoice through robust supply chain development and effective commercial strategies.
About You | Mōu
To succeed in this role you’ll be highly collaborative, a natural problem solver and commercially driven. You’ll be comfortable in your knowledge and ability to build strong partnerships with our suppliers and have a strong level of financial and commercial acumen. To succeed in this role, you will need to have proven category management experience, along with strong negotiation skills, as they are essential for success.
