THE ROLE:

As Team Leader - Compounds, within our Tauriko facility, you will be responsible for overseeing shift operations, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining quality standards. The shift work is 4 days on, 4 days off, and 12 hour shifts (2 days and then 2 nights) from 7. Your leadership will drive a strong safety culture, continuous process improvement, and team engagement. Responsibilities include:

Health & Safety: Lead by example, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Conduct safety observations, report hazards, and promote a zero-harm environment.
Leadership & Team Management: Supervise a team of approximately 4-5 direct reports, providing clear direction, training, and support to achieve production goals.
Production & Quality Control: Oversee manufacturing processes, conduct quality checks, and ensure all products meet specifications before release.
Customer Service & Distribution: Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate distribution of finished goods.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and team development.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, ensuring stock accuracy and minimal product damage.

ABOUT YOU:

Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of health & safety best practices.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality control and process improvement.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to mentor and train team members for skill development.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Able to work 4 days on, 4 days off, (2 days and then 2 nights) from 7 shift pattern.
Forklift license and relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
