Job Description
We’re committed to providing exceptional support services for our clients and looking for an experienced, empathetic and outgoing Support Worker to join our team and work with one of our clients, having Anxiety, ASD, Chronic Sensory issues in both hands, Neurological functional disorder and Incontinence issues, based in Christchurch.
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with unique needs contributing to their overall wellbeing to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification in Healthcare, disability support or related field
- Competency in Hoist
- Competency in PEG Feed
- Competency in Trauma response
- Competency in Medication
- Own transport with a clean and valid Restricted/Full driver’s license
- Legitimate NZ work rights
- A clean Police check
- Strong communication skills
- Well-prepared and organized
- Attention to detail
- Professionally presentable and respectful
Available Shifts:
Thursday-Sunday (with the opportunity to pick up more shifts as they become available)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tasks such as personal care, bathing, PEG feeding
- Usage of hoist equipment correctly and efficiently
- Mobility, positioning, grooming, shopping and general home help
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care, developmental therapies and medication
