An opportunity has recently become available for an ambitious Business Development / Sales Account Manager to join our growing team based in Hamilton.
This role covers both aspects of business development and account management, so we're looking for someone who is driven to actively seek out new business, as well as nurture existing client relationships.
Whilst looking after your wide range of retailers, this is your opportunity to be creative and strategic with them to market and promote our big brands in their stores. You will need to be comfortable having conversations with anyone from CEO level right through to a small health store owner, whilst being well organised and having excellent communication skills.
You'll also need to demonstrate:
- Strong sales and account management skills
- Strategic marketing experience with a history of achieving excellent results for your customers
- A strong understanding of business metrics (revenue, leads and sales) as well as marketing metrics
- Great communication and relationship development ability
- High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
- Confidence working independently - And doing what you say you're going to do!
- Resilience and perseverance to knock on many doors, face rejection, and keep pushing forward for that one yes
- Industry experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be working with retailers all over New Zealand, either on the phone or in person, so expect the odd day or night trips around the country.
