Te Tūranga | The role:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Finance Manager - Financial planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead critical expense management, forecasting and budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis for ASB.
Important to our needs for this role is someone with an exceptional mindset for continuous improvement with a to drive challenge the status quo, foster innovation, and delivers impactful changes in financial processes through:
- Proven process improvement experience, by questioning current processes and asking what we can do better.
- Forecast and reporting/visualisation tools experience (IBM TM1, Power BI/Tableau)
- Enhancement and building of better reports for various reporting, including ELT, by thinking about current requitements and providing more insights.
- Working closely with the GM MI and SM Expense & Productivity on strategy initiatives.

As Finance Manager - FP&A, you will:
- Manage expense forecasting & budgeting: Oversee pan-bank expenses by partnering with divisional finance teams to deliver accurate forecasts and budgets, facilitating monthly and quarterly reviews, and identifying risks, opportunities, and impacts on the overall financial forecast.
- Drive process excellence: Manage initiatives to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring greater efficiency and elevated insights.
- Deliver strategic insights: Provide timely and actionable financial analysis to support business decision-making and align with strategic priorities.
- Support key projects: Contribute to high-impact finance initiatives, including process optimisation and self-service reporting enhancements.
- Mentor and lead: Empower and support team members to develop their skills, achieve results, and grow within their roles.

We are looking for candidates with FP&A, or consulting background who bring:
- Financial expertise: Experienced in financial planning, budgeting, and month-end reporting processes with proficiency in forecasting and reporting tools (e.g., IBM TM1, Power BI or Tableau)
- Advanced analytical skills: The ability to navigate complex data and delivery meaningful, actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication: Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to present insights effectively at all levels of an organisation.
- Organisational strength: A highly organised and dependable approach, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently.
- Leadership capability: A people-focused leader with a strong emphasis on fostering performance and culture, motivated to make a meaningful difference within a collegial and highly supportive team.
