Our client, KidsCan, a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children in need across New Zealand, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Partnerships Manager.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on children's lives by managing KidsCan’s major corporate partners and identifying new partnership opportunities. What you'll do:
As a Partnerships Manager at KidsCan, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of major corporate partners. Your primary responsibility will be to identify partnership opportunities and develop engagement plans that align with the needs of both KidsCan and its partners.
You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships, Fundraising and Individual Giving to develop strategies for sustainable revenue growth. Your excellent relationship-building skills will be crucial, allowing you to act as a trusted consultant to the partner and explore new collaboration opportunities.
- You will also oversee all partner engagement initiatives including any marketing/PR activities.
- Develop and implement bespoke partnership plans tailored to the needs of both KidsCan and its portfolio of partners.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners to enhance engagement and maximise revenue opportunities.

- Negotiate and manage contracts with partners, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on benefits and expectations.
- Ensure all contractual sponsorship agreements are fulfilled.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate partner staff engagement with schools, KidsCan events, and volunteering opportunities.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Partnerships Executive.
- Represent KidsCan externally at events and speaking engagements when required.

The ideal candidate for the Partnerships Manager role at KidsCan brings extensive experience in marketing/sponsorship and account management. Your exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills will be key in maintaining strong relationships with partners and exploring new collaboration opportunities. You possess a strategic mindset, allowing you to think creatively and identify growth opportunities.
Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with excellent organisation, time management, prioritisation, and planning capabilities, will enable you to effectively manage contracts and ensure all sponsorship agreements are fulfilled.
A strong financial acumen is essential for managing budgets effectively. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office is required, and experience with CRM databases is desirable. Above all, you have a genuine appreciation for the non-profit sector and a passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.
- Proven experience in marketing / sponsorship and account management (at a senior level).
