Due to continued business expansion, they are seeking two switched-on phone-based Collections Officers to join their Eight Mile Plains based internal collections team. This is a phone-based role, where you will be connecting with customers to talk to them about their unpaid debts and to work out a repayment plan that they can afford, that will eventually clear their debt.

The Role in more detail:

• Handling inbound calls and making proactive outbound calls to customers to negotiate payment arrangements and settlements.
• Using skip-tracing tools to locate customers when needed.
• Building customer rapport and handling sometimes challenging customer conversations, with empathy and respect
• Completing accurate file notes for all customer interactions.
• Managing any disputes or escalations with a resolution-focused approach
• Monitoring active payment arrangements, identifying potential risks of default, and taking appropriate follow-up actions
• Identifying accounts for escalation or legal action when appropriate
• Contributing ideas for improving collection strategies
• Striving to hit and exceed KPIs and targets.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, based in the Eight Mile Plains office.

You will bring:

• Previous phone-based work experience, e.g, Telesales, Outbound Customer Service or Collections experience would be ideal.
• Upbeat, with confident communication skills. Able to engage with all walks of life.
• Strong active listening skills.
• Good negotiations skills. Assertive, yet empathetic.
• Positivity! You will keep on smiling, even when there is a challenging customer conversation.
• Fast and accurate administration skills.
• Motivation. Passionate about your own success – KPI driven and goal orientated.
