MAINTENANCE & YARD HAND
Our client is a leading provider of high-quality portable buildings in Auckland. They pride themselves on their durable, well-designed structures and exceptional customer service.
They are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join their team and ensure products and facilities are kept in top condition.

You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and repair their portable buildings and facilities. Your role will involve hands-on work, including routine maintenance, repairs, and occasional cleaning of sheds. You will ensure that all products meet their high standards for quality and functionality. Additionally you will be championing their hire system in the Auckland yard.

Location, days, hours & rates:

• West Auckland
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 to 17:00
• $25 to $35 per hour depending on experience
• Temp to perm

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks on portable buildings, including inspections, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Cleaning: Clean and prepare sheds for delivery or display, ensuring they are in pristine condition
• Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of the yard and workshop facilities, including equipment upkeep and general repairs
• Inventory Management: Keep track of maintenance supplies and tools and report any shortages or needs
• Customer Service: Occasionally interact with customers to address maintenance-related inquiries or concerns
• Systems management: Manage the running of our hire system for the Auckland yard including buildings in and out, repairs and service required, stocktake of units and arrange deliveries

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role, preferably in the construction or portable building industry
• Ability to diagnose and fix a variety of maintenance issues
• Great computer skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Successful candidates must:

• Have reliable transport
• Full Class 1 NZ drivers license
• Provide 2 contactable work references
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Return a clean criminal background check
