Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 98 courts and 141 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.
In this role, you will provide administrative services to support the contract by having great attention to detail. This role will suit a dynamic person who has a real interest in supporting the business and making things happen!
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of Planned Maintenance and Reactive Works, ensuring alignment with contractual KPIs.
- Manage relationships with Sub-Contractors, ensuring site work is completed to meet KPIs and schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Sub-Contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and entry requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes to enhance margins, client satisfaction, and company reputation.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- A minimum 2-year administrative experience in a busy environment
- Experience in scheduling or planning, preferably within Utilities or Trade Services.
- Strong communication skills in high-volume, time-sensitive environments with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Dynamics and MS Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong multi-tasking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- A mature approach to work, coupled with an ability to demonstrate initiative.
