What you'll do:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be an integral part of our client's finance operations. You will manage daily processing of accounts payable, ensuring supplier accounts are accurate and payments are made promptly. Your exceptional communication skills will shine as you liaise with various stakeholders, while your meticulous attention to detail will be vital in performing monthly reconciliations on all supplier accounts. Furthermore, you will support the Finance Manager with GST and FBT returns, contributing to wider financial management tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Play a key role in the modernisation of current payroll and Zone Capture projects
- Maintain supplier accounts ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate, and paid promptly
- Manage weekly payroll for waged employees and contractors
- Perform monthly reconciliations on all supplier accounts meticulously
- Support the Finance Manager with GST and FBT returns
What you bring:
The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in similar roles, particularly in managing accounts payable and payroll. You are proficient with NetSuite or similar accounting packages, demonstrating your ability to adapt to different systems. Your exceptional communication skills enable you to interact effectively with various stakeholders. As someone who is pursuing an accounting qualification, you have a solid understanding of financial principles which you apply diligently in your work. Your ability to prioritise tasks ensures that work of greatest importance is undertaken promptly and to a high standard.
- Pursuing an accounting qualification – CA or CPA
- Experience with NetSuite accounting package or similar
- Proven experience in a similar role including accounts payable and payroll
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Commitment to promoting and protecting business's best interests
- Passion for the sports industry desired
- Great attitude - young, driven and motivated
