Te tūranga | The role:
This newly created position within Business Banking will play a central role in our focus on helping New Zealand businesses improve productivity. This is a great opportunity to lead the design, development and implementation of ASB's strategic growth across target markets.
- Design and execute the strategy for key markets
- Provide excellent customer outcomes across the target sectors
- Demonstrate and manage financial and non-financial risk
- Contribute to ASB objectives through strategic and thought leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team with excellent stakeholder relationships
- Grow ASB's reputation and share across target markets
This role will ideally be based in Auckland and may require some travel around Aotearoa.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
Passionate about accelerating progress for Aotearoa businesses, you will have strong financial acumen and experience leading targeted strategies. Your broad and deep networks will help you build ASB's brand in key markets.
- You will have significant experience in credit risk management across Financial Service products including ownership and execution of strategy and priorities to optimise credit risk.
- Excellent commercial acumen and a deep knowledge of the productive manufacturing sector and the franchise sector
- People leadership experience, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business and drive outcomes.
- Be able to present strategic outcomes, make the complex simple, and present compelling propositions and proposals.
- You will have deep technical expertise, with the curiosity to be hands on and to continue to grow and discover more in the space.
