Mō te tūnga | About the role
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that ensures smooth and efficient operations at the executive level? As an Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level, proactive, and comprehensive support to a manager, enabling them to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
In this role, you'll be the backbone of the executive office, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling critical tasks with precision. Your expertise will also extend to offering general and specific support to the wider team, ensuring seamless operations and enhanced productivity across the board.
This role primarily supports our Chief Legal Officer and legal team so legal executive experience is an advantage; for example, preparing court bundles.
This role is based in our Wellington office. Due to the operational requirements and dynamic nature of the role, it will be beneficial for you to have the close support of the team around you. Candidates for this role are required to already be based in Wellington or be willing to relocate to Wellington for this opportunity.

Key requirements of the role include:
- Computer literate; proficient in Windows 2000 or later, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in secretarial/administration and/or business management
- Experience in providing executive support to manager
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Strong organisational ability to optimise and prioritise conflicting demands in a busy environment, to achieve deadlines and see responsibilities through to completion
- Excellent self-management skills, including working effectively without direct supervision, managing and organising fluctuating workloads in sometimes stressful situations
- Able to personally cope with ambiguity and change
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
