Tradestaff have Welder/Fabricator jobs available across the Auckland region.

We are looking for Welder/Fabricator with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):

Performing welding and fabrication on a variety of projects
Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiently in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC)
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
Fabricating, shaping and bending custom metal components and pipes using hand and machine tools, plasma and laser cutters, and by heating and hammering
Fabricating structural steel and other metal stock to repair metal products and structures such as boilers and pressure vessels
Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

Ideally, you will be or have:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience
Related NZQA Level 4 Trade qualifications preferred however scope and length of experience and/or overseas qualifications may substitute for the formal NZ qualification
Your own tools
Own reliable transport
At least 2 work references
100% commitment to Health & Safety
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Minimum pay range $28-$35 depending on experience
