About Eco Choice Aotearoa

We are Aotearoa's official ecolabel for more than 30 years. We certify products that are environmentally preferable, fit for purpose, and safe to human health. We are the only environmental label in New Zealand that takes a rigorous, life cycle approach guided by ISO 14024 principles. Eco Choice is a not-for-profit, governed by an independent Board of Directors and trademarked by the Ministry for the Environment.

About the Video Series

Most people don’t understand what a Type 1 ecolabel is, let alone how our certification process works. And with so much sustainability information out there, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. This video series aims to combat the complexity of ecolabels without jargon, fluff and confusion.

It's themed around the idea of having a cup of tea with our audience, creating a relaxed and conversational atmosphere. The goal is to move away from the rigid, compliance-heavy tone often associated with these ecolabelling and instead make them more approachable and engaging. We’re here to decipher the world of sustainability, from breaking down big topics like “What is a Circular Economy?” to answering specific questions like “What exactly do I need to prepare for an ecolabel audit?”.
