We’re seeking a Volunteer Project Coordinator to join our team. If you’re passionate about leading teams, thrive in dynamic environments, and have a strong understanding of New Zealand’s cultural history, this role is for you. Your project management skills will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our initiatives and driving meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage volunteer teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) to plan, execute, and track progress.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Identify and resolve challenges, applying problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.
- Promote collaboration and foster a positive, productive team environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Proven experience in leading teams, motivating volunteers, and driving project success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage diverse groups effectively.
Project Management Expertise:
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Jira); Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
Cultural Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of New Zealand’s cultural history and heritage.
- Resided in New Zealand for over 4 years with fluency in English.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Personal Attributes:
- Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
