It’s an incredibly exciting time to be part of the Risk Services and Deals teams at PwC New Zealand as we help our clients navigate the complexities of risk management and ultimately add value by enhancing their business operations. As a Risk and Quality Senior Manager, you will focus internally to facilitate the growth of our risk management practices, ensure we are compliant with network and industry standards, and help our teams conduct best risk and quality practices at all times. Your day-to-day responsibilities in this role will include:
- Developing and driving risk management strategy to ensure best practice within the Risk Services and Deals business units including:
- Update local policies to reflect the updated Network Risk Management Policies.
- Arrange / Monitor Engagement Quality Reviews / Quality Assurance Reviews
- Arrange / Monitor Partner Portfolio Self Reviews
- Assist with Annual partner and director risk / accountability ratings
- General queries from Engagement Leaders / staff
- Assist with variations from our standard terms of business
- Assist with Risk and Quality Training
- Assisting our teams with clarifications on PwC risk and quality practices and providing training so our staff are well-equipped to handle complex client engagements.
- Building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders both in New Zealand and the global PwC Network to further develop our risk frameworks.
- Ensuring we have the best risk and quality culture, meet network and industry standards, and develop new and improved templates as needed to support new solutions.
- Running tests to ensure the quality system works, including testing individual engagement files.
- Working directly with our PwC One Firm Risk, Quality & Independence teams to help them with a range of initiatives and operational activities
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
- Five or more years’ professional experience in an operational risk, internal audit or compliance role within a professional or financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls and business processes
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Proven experience coaching, training and developing staff in best risk practices.
- Experience in a Risk & Quality role with other professional services firms would be advantageous.
- Be agile, with strong communication skills and a no surprises approach
