About the Company & Culture:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Officer to join our client’s collaborative team for a 12-month fixed term contract. Based in the Christchurch CBD, this role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment within the insurance industry.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in claims handling, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to clients while ensuring accurate and efficient claim assessments.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Manage and process claims from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate decisions
- Liaise with all parties involved to gather necessary information and provide clear communication throughout the claims process
- Assess claims to determine coverage and liability based on policy terms and conditions
- Provide expert advice and support to clients regarding their claims and policy entitlements
- Investigate and analyse claims to ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies
- Work closely with the underwriting and customer service teams to ensure smooth claims operations
- Maintain accurate records of claims, communications, and any actions taken in the CRM
About You:
- Proven experience in a claims handling role within the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of claims processes, policy terms, and relevant legislation
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to assess and process complex claims
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
