Our manufacturing client based in Hornby is after a Quality operator to assist over the December - January period. They specialize in manufacturing Baby Milk formula cans; The role is responsible for doing quality checks throughout the day to ensure there are no issues with products before they are dispatched to clients.

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Essential part of the process, it is crucial that any damaged cans are identified to minimize business loss and ensure clients are happy. -Working within the Quality office/factory floor you will be required to do checks throughout the day, loading cans into their computer program to check that the cans meet specifications.
  • Checking manufacturing cameras
  • Making sure that information is recorded in an accurate manner
  • Full training provided on their system and what to look for
  • Communicating with the team leader when 'red' or 'yellow' marked cans are found within quality checks
  • Usage of their packing robot, rapper and strapper (training provided)
  • Working in a busy environment, you will have to wear earmuffs, overalls, hair nets and glasses (this is a health-conscious site - with no nuts allowed on the premises
  • Emptying bins of reject cans and maintaining a tidy workspace
  • Taking sample checks off the line

  • Month of December (training) will be day shift 6am-2pm (some shifts will be 12 hours leading to Christmas) after training you will be moved to the shift rotation, one week 6am-2pm and another week 2pm-10pm
