About the role
Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Gardner/Groundskeeper to join their friendly team in a part time (20 hours a week), permanent position. The role requires someone who is self-motivated, and multi-skilled. This is an ideal role for long term applicants.

Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of plant care and an understanding of various plants’ needs
- A logical and practical approach to general garden maintenance problems
- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, managing weed control and leaf raking.
- Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends
- Problem-solving to deal with gardening problems
- Ability to use various gardening tools
- Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather and natural elements
