Are you a passionate chef looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment? Burnham Military Camp is seeking an experienced Permanent full- time Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Where, truly no two days are the same. Burnham Military Camp in Burnham, located 28km south of Christchurch. Great work-life balance, no late finishes. Finish by 7pm at the latest.

Position available from Monday 1 January 2024.

Ko o kawenga/Your responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for large groups.
• Supervisor of kitchen staff during both weekend days.
• Oversee food safety and hygiene practices.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and stock control.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and bulk cooking.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• Previous experience in bulk cooking is essential.
• Easy can-do attitude is required for the environment.
• Supervisory experience, some previous experience in rostering and ordering preferable.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices, including the use of Safe Food Pro
