Gib Stopper Wanted in Dunedin – Residential Work
We’re a well-established Dunedin residential construction company looking for a skilled and reliable Gib Stopper to join their team. Our client is a well-established Dunedin Residential Construction company and looking for a skilled and reliable Gib Stopper to join their projects.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in gib stopping/plastering
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to a high-quality finish
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or within a team
  • Must have own tools and reliable transport


Key responsibilities:

  • Taping and stopping: applying joint tape and compound to plasterboard seams
  • Filling screw holes, joints, corners, and surface imperfections
  • Sanding to achieve a smooth, even finish
  • Applying multiple coats of compound where required
  • Preparing surfaces to a paint-ready standard
  • Following correct drying/curing times
  • Occasional ornamental plasterwork or repair work
