We require a talented Real -Estate photographer / videographer to join our team as a contractor. This person will specialise in capturing high-quality photos and videos of properties for sale or rent. The role is dynamic and is busier in the summer season, so it works well as a part time role or if you have something else to supplement the work.

Key Responsibilities:
Photography & Videography:

  • Take high-quality, visually appealing photos and videos of residential, commercial, or industrial properties.
  • Focus on showcasing key features, layout, and details of the property (e.g., rooms, outdoor spaces, amenities).
  • Utilize natural lighting, angles, and your equipment to enhance the visual appeal of properties.
  • Capture interior and exterior shots, including wide-angle views, close-ups, and aerial shots (if needed).
  • Create Matterport virtual tours or 360-degree tours if required for certain listings.


During the shoot:

  • Meet the clients (real estate agents, property owners, or developers) to understand their needs and the best ways to represent the property.
  • Determine any needs to get the best shot, such as furniture arrangement, opening blinds/ curtains, or removing tea towels or a blanket from a bed.


Post-production:
Upload all content from the day in a timely manner before the end of the day to ensure post production timelines are not slowed down (we deliver retouched photos the next day to client)

Equipment Management:

  • Maintain professional camera equipment (DSLR, drones, tripods, microphone, kits, Matterport, etc.) and other necessary equipment
  • Stay updated on the latest photography and videography trends, technology, and techniques.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning during shoots and that you have everything charged and In your car ready to use at any time


Aerial & Drone Photography (if applicable):

  • Operate drones to capture aerial footage of large estates, properties with expansive land, or unique angles.
  • Follow all relevant drone regulations and obtain necessary certifications if required.


Floor Plans:
Ability to draw floor plans in an accurate and timely way

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with camera equipment: Expertise in DSLR or mirrorless cameras, drones, and other photography tools.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to see and capture the best angles, lighting, and features of a property.
  • Knowledge of real estate trends: Understanding of what buyers look for in property photos and videos.
  • Communication skills: Ability to work with real estate agents, homeowners, and other stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Creativity: Ability to create compelling visual stories that highlight a property's best features.
  • Time management: Ability to efficiently manage multiple shoots and meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in real estate photography/videography.
  • Drone certification (if applicable).
  • A portfolio demonstrating previous work in real estate photography and videography.


Other requirements:

  • Typically works independently or as part of a team with real estate agents or property managers.
  • Use of the scheduling app to regularly check for jobs scheduled for you and any changes that have been made though the day
  • Some jobs may require traveling between locations, to greater / rural Auckland
  • Must own a car and be able to drive around Auckland and sometimes out of Auckland
  • Required for dusk bookings – in the Summer this is up until 9:30pm and in winter 6:30pm
  • Professional uniform provided which you are required to wear
  • Must own your own gear as specified:
  • Digital SLR - (including mirrorless)
  • Wide Angle Lens (16mm equivalent on a full frame or 10mm on a crop sensor)
  • Telephoto Zoom Lens (50-200mm equivalent on a full frame)
  • Sturdy Tripod
  • Gimble
  • Drone (All DJI Mavic or above series accepted)
  • Wireless Microphone / Receiver 2:1
  • (Matterport camera - ideal but not essential)
