Job Overview:

As a full-time qualified mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing vehicles, performing Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspections, and ensuring the highest quality of service. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and certified mechanic, preferably with a Warrant of Fitness certification, and be passionate about delivering excellent automotive service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vehicle diagnostics and provide accurate assessments of mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Carry out Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspections in compliance with New Zealand regulations.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices.
• Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining vehicle issues, repairs, and recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Trade certification in automotive mechanics (NZQA Level 4 or equivalent).
• Warrant of Fitness (WoF) certification (or the ability to obtain one).
• Proven experience in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining a safe work environment.
• A valid driver’s license.

Desirable Attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar mechanic role.
• Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
