We are looking for permanent full time + part time Support Workers in Auckland for our Choices in Community Living services. This is a 24/7 roster Monday to Sunday which includes working overnight and alternate weekends.

What does a Support Worker do? | He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko

Our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their own homes. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living. Responsibilities will also include support:

• In the morning to get up and get in and out of wheelchair for the day.
• At lunch and dinner time.
• Getting ready for bed and ensuring safety.

• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
• Prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilities.
• Full driver's license and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)
• Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
