With a commitment to excellence and a track record of successful projects, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced Civil Estimator to contribute to the continued growth of our company.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction estimating, including 3 waters projects, with a keen ability to evaluate project requirements, prepare cost estimates, and work closely with project managers and clients to ensure accurate budgeting for all stages of construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive experience in the civil construction industry who is looking to grow their career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthworks, subdivisions, drainage, utilities, and more.
β€’ Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.
β€’ Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, and negotiate costs to achieve the best value for the company.
β€’ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to develop realistic timelines and budgets.
β€’ Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
β€’ Maintain and update cost databases and assist in the development of standard costing templates.
β€’ Identify and mitigate risks associated with project budgets and timelines.
β€’ Support the preparation of bid submissions and presentation materials for clients.

Qualifications:
β€’ Proven experience as a Civil Estimator with a minimum of 5 years in the civil construction industry.
β€’ In-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, materials, and estimating techniques.
β€’ Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
β€’ Proficient in estimating software (e.g., CCS Candy, ProCore Estimating)
β€’ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
β€’ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
β€’ Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (degree or certification preferred).
β€’ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
