Mō te tūnga | About the role

The LMS Specialist - Leadership Development and Engagement - will work to ensure all required learning is created and managed to a high-standard. There is room to flex some creative muscle alongside the LMS system management with creation of modules in Rise.

  • Manage the LMS: Keep the system running smoothly, update content, fix technical issues, and look for ways to improve it.
  • Assist in course creation: Help set up courses in the system and make changes to the interface as needed.
  • Provide training and support to team members to develop their skills with the system.
  • Generate and analyse reports as required.
  • Collaborate with others: Work with stakeholders to add new learning resources.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability: Make the system easy to use for everyone.



Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Experience in developing e-learning content managed within an LMS.
  • Experience and knowledge in online learning, online learning platforms, adult learning or education in the context of a human centred delivery of learning.
  • Successful experience developing and implementing effective learning and capability
  • Development solutions with an online platform focus, strategies, policies and programmes including monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven practical backgrounds in systems thinking, process planning - including how to set up systems and processes to ensure efficient service delivery with a focus on quality learner outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative peer and other stakeholder relationships to achieve effective outcomes.
  • A thorough understanding of key issues affecting Oranga Tamariki and Learning and Capability Development services in a social services environment.
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular, knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture.
