Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our South Auckland team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Experience and Skillset Required:

• Proven experience as a Welder.
• Experience in other mechanical engineering or construction work.
• Experience working in an engineering workshop.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in welding (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of metals and their properties.
• Welding skills, including an understanding of different welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to different situations.
• Ability to make difficult decisions efficiently and a willingness to help others and learn.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and comply with our drug and alcohol policy.

Responsibilities Include:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Performing various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
• Inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintaining and repairing welding equipment.
• Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time.
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Studying plans and drawings.
• Cutting, bending, and fitting steel or metal parts.
• Making jigs (of wood or metal) that hold parts in place for welding.
• Welding parts together.
• Repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Constructing metal objects according to instructions.
