Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our South Auckland team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Experience and Skillset Required:
- Proven experience as a Welder.
- Experience in other mechanical engineering or construction work.
- Experience working in an engineering workshop.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in welding (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of metals and their properties.
- Welding skills, including an understanding of different welding processes and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to different situations.
- Ability to make difficult decisions efficiently and a willingness to help others and learn.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and comply with our drug and alcohol policy.

Responsibilities Include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Performing various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintaining and repairing welding equipment.
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Studying plans and drawings.
- Cutting, bending, and fitting steel or metal parts.
- Making jigs (of wood or metal) that hold parts in place for welding.
- Welding parts together.
- Repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Constructing metal objects according to instructions.
