He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Join our dynamic team at Auckland International Airport Lounge as a Service Operations Manager. In this role, you'll be responsible for organizing and managing the contract in accordance with Compass Group and client standards for Catering services. You'll ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet client expectations and manage the development and training of all team members.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of 3 Lounges spread across the Domestic and International terminals. This includes direct management of the managers and supervisors of each Lounge.
  • Assist Senior Management with planning, strategy and execution related to Auckland Airport terminal expansions.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients, ensuring long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Manage contracts to provide services, ensuring compliance with the contracted scope of work for all services.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor quality customer service practices, driving the team to deliver end-user satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods and/or food within the workplace, including inventory and stock control.
  • Lead and manage an effective team, providing feedback, training, and development to staff.

  • In-depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment principles.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget.
  • Proven experience in managing successful teams and forming productive relationships with clients.
  • Ability to identify contract retention and new business opportunities.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use IT systems to maintain efficient operations.
