About the role

Your caregiving career will thrive working at The Village Palms, in Shirley, Christchurch. Your experience and kindness to provide first class care for our residents will see you exceed in this role.

We have 3 roles on offer:

  1. Fixed Term Maternity Cover - 13 hours a week - Sat and Sun - 7am to 2pm - till 1st July 2025
  2. Permanent Part time - 11 hours a week - Sun and Mon - 7am to 1 pm
  3. Permanent Part time - 16 hours a week - Sun, Mon, Wed and Thurs - 4.30 to 8.30pm


Please indicate the role you would like to be considered for, in your application

Duties:

  • Provide resident directed care and support to our residents.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered nurse as part of the Care Team.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and choice.
  • Contribute to and demonstrate knowledge and use of resident directed Care Plans.
  • Provide support for the family.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Hold Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent attitude and demonstrate self-motivation and proactiveness.
  • Previous experience in aged care or working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Problem solving and decisive decision-making skills.
  • Empathy and a love for making a difference in our residents' lives.
