The Company Our client is a renowned international company who designs, manufactures, installs and services specialist industrial equipment for the food, dairy and other similar industries. They have an impressive manufacturing site in central Hamilton. Due to increased workload, they are now seeking an additional 2 CNC Operators to join the production team.
The Role You will be machining stainless steel parts using their 2-axis CNC lathes. We are seeking an experienced CNC operator with mechanical engineering aptitude.
This is not a simple production role - you will need to be able to set up the machines correctly according to drawings for production runs, and ensure tolerances and quality standards are met.
Using your engineering knowledge, you will take the initiative to improve manufacturing processes and maximise machine efficiency.
In summary, the requirements are,
At least 2 years of experience in CNC operation, ideally with 2-axis lathes
Mechanical engineering aptitude and able to interpret drawings
Knowledge of tooling and materials, programming experience is an advantage
Health and safety conscious
Able to work as a team
