About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team, responsible for the delivery of facility management services across two key contracts servicing both private and public sector clients. This role oversees the performance of services including reactive repairs, scheduled maintenance, and minor capital works.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Hamilton (NZ) and focuses on providing strategic and operational leadership while fostering strong engagement with key stakeholders. Reporting to the Sector Lead, you will manage a team of ~20 and oversee the contracts’ financial performance, including responsibility for operating budget, while ensuring compliance with all service delivery and safety standards.

Through exceptional contract management, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Oversee the delivery of facilities maintenance services across two key contracts, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead and manage a team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance and satisfaction.
  • Manage the financial performance of contracts, including P&L accountability and budget oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSEQ standards and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs across service delivery, operations, and financial metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee planning and execution of reactive repairs, scheduled maintenance, and minor capital works.


About You

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with a proven track record in managing facility management, maintenance contracts or similar large-scale operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Experience managing P&L budget essential.
  • Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Proactive approach to relationship management.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint).
  • Work Safety Management system experience preferred; Noggin, highly desirable.
