Civic are a long standing supplier of services to NZ cities. We contract to Councils for street cleaning services such as collecting litter, road sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more!

We are looking to fill two Mobile Orderly positions on our Hamilton team.

These roles are based at our Frankton depot and will involve working across Hamilton Central.

This work involves attending public spaces (parks, reserves, town centres, bus shelters) for the purposes of:

• Collection and removal of rubbish, loose litter, debris and dead animals
• General cleaning and clean up (bins, street furniture, weed control, frond/branches removal etc)
• Minor maintenance on street furniture using hand tools
• Collections include the use of manual sweeping as well as use of mechanical or power devices (hand blowers).
• Operation of a light Class 1 truck
• Submission of verbal and written reports and completion of requisite documentation.

Our successful applicant will have the following:

• Ability to use power equipment
• Be able to adhere to the Civic company values and guiding principles
• Excellent communication and time keeping skills.
• Flexibility: able and willing to adapt to changing priorities as and when required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of using initiative.
• Positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Professional attitude in dealings with members of the public.
• A clean, current full or restricted NZ Class 1 Drivers licence.

We have the following opportunities available:

• 1x Day shift rotating roster (6:00am - 3:30pm and 11:30am - 9:00pm rotating)
• 1 Night shift rotating roster (9:00pm - 6:30am)

Monthly rosters allow for different days off each week including rotational weekends.

The hourly rate for this role is $27.80 per hour (Night shift allowance is $28.00 per night worked).
