Role Summary:
Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of fibre blending, carding, and finishing machines, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fibre Blending & Machine Operation: Accurately blend fibre, run carding and finishing machines efficiently,
• and ensure smooth production.
• Safety & Equipment Handling: Safely operate machinery, handle wool bales, and follow all safety protocols.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and report machine or fibre issues, ensure breakdowns are fixed promptly, and escalate unresolved issues.
• Quality & Compliance: Follow ISO standards, production procedures, and quality/environmental guidelines.
• Record-Keeping & Reporting: Accurately measure, record, and label materials, maintaining precise documentation.
• Training & Leadership: Train new employees in machine operations where competent, demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills.
• Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean workspace and actively contribute to process improvements.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous textile experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Methodical with good record-keeping abilities
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word & Excel)
